What To Expect On Your First Chiropractic Visit

Step 1:

First you will have a consultation with Dr. Aaron to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, as well as potential treatment options. Your first visit is designed for Dr. Aaron to learn more about you, your condition and your expectations to determine whether you are a candidate for chiropractic care

Step 2:

After your consultation, Dr. Aaron will perform a complete chiropractic examination to help determine if yours is a chiropractic case. And we always encourage questions.  We want to make sure you are educated about your condition and why we need to do something so there are never any surprises

Step 3:

X-Ray Studies

Your specific condition may require us to take x-rays to get a full evaluation of a patient. X-rays help us rule out more serious conditions or assist us in developing the most effective treatment plan for you. Most people are amazed once they see their x-rays and can often immediately identify their misalignments and damaged areas  themselves.

We want to see you get well just as much as you do yourself. Prior to leaving on your first visit, you will be instructed on things you can do to reduce any symptoms and speed your healing process at home. If you are in pain when you first come into our office this may include ice or heat application instructions, avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home exercises and/or stretches. Most patients will get relief from the very first adjustment! Chiropractic adjustments are gentle enough for kids yet will restore movement and function for the athlete and senior.

Your Second Appointment:  Report of Findings

After reviewing all the information gathered on your first visit and reviewing any x-rays or tests, Dr. Aaron will be able to better discuss recommendations with you. If your situation warrants, we will begin an initial treatment plan to get you back on track as soon as possible. If you have a condition that requires care with other providers, the doctor will tell you. If we believe we can help you, we will discuss our best recommendations for helping you to reach your goals, whether that is a reduction in symptoms or achieving better health and wellness.

Every body is unique & different and therefore everyone requires a unique and customized wellness plan. The foundation of our overall wellness lifestyle is maintaining healthy posture and good spinal alignment, eating a healthy diet, taking supplements, keeping your weight under control and stress relief.  Throughout your treatment, Dr. Aaron will continue to make recommendations based on your progress.  If you have any questions during the course of your treatment, please feel free to consult with him during your adjustment appointment. As a courtesy to all our patients, if you have extended questions we ask that you schedule an appointment outside of normal adjusting hours.

Corrective Exercises

Our patients are taught specific corrective exercises based on their examination findings. These exercises are designed to stretch and strengthen so your body can hold the corrections we are performing and improve the effectiveness of your spinal correction by as much as 25-50%. In addition to skeletal misalignment, muscles and connective tissues can be out of place or strained by improper alignment and use. Specific exercises and stretches can help your body stay in balance and in health.
